How allowances work
Allowances are per calendar month (UTC), whatever day your plan renews.
Each day's usage is rated at the plan you are on when it is measured:
upgrading enlarges the rest of the month's allowance, downgrading shrinks
it, and a day that has already been rated is never re-rated. Downloads are
measured a couple of days after they happen, so a plan change shows up
there a couple of days later too.
If a balance runs out
If your balance cannot cover a charge, the charge waits. After
3 days of unpaid usage, new usage
pauses — new uploads, thumbnails, playback and switching on new monitoring —
and any monitoring you had switched on is turned off. An upload already on
its way still finishes. Topping up enough to settle what is owed resumes new
usage at once; monitoring that was turned off stays off until you re-verify
your servers. Storage keeps accruing for the files you keep — delete files at
any time to stop it. We never delete your files for non-payment, and you can
always download them.
